Dan Berger

Dan Berger is an interdisciplinary historian of the modern United States who studies activism, Black Power, and the carceral state. He is the author of several books, most recently Stayed on Freedom: The Long History of Black Power Through One Family’s Journey. He teaches at the University of Washington Bothell and directs the Washington Prison History Project.
