The LPE Group at the Gujarat National Law University endeavors to create a space where we engage and challenge the law, informed by our location in the Global South. Our socio-political and economic climate significantly impacts how the law interacts with society. We intend to critically examine the law’s role in creating and sustaining institutions and systems in today’s neoliberal society and its role in reproducing historic systems of caste, class, and gender oppression. To foster a community of like-minded students and academics, we will organize discussions, capacity building sessions and engage in research projects. We aim to act as a platform for members to engage in academic writing, policy critique and outreach within the LPE framework.
